I've been meaning to ask something regarding Niconico uploads and especially how their upload dates are handled on this site. Since I've worked fairly closely with metadata side of things through my archive, I've come to learn that Niconico videos save their date information with JST by default, not UTC in mind. By extension, I've confirmed that dates on sites like Nicolog and Nicochart are saved with JST in mind too. While a video extractor like yt-dlp currently takes this +9 offset into account when it fetches video info, automatically converting the relevant times to UTC, I have a reason to believe that the extractor for this site does not take this into account and is instead preserving the JST upload times too. While this mostly just results in some Niconico works uploaded between 15:00-00:00 UTC to be dated to the following day (can't find any quick examples right now, but this should be evident with some works with both YouTube and Niconico uploads), I wanted to ask whether or not this should be addressed for this site. On one hand, it would offer some consistency instead of having a mixture of UTC and JST times, but on the other hand some works have been uploaded with specific days in mind (like collabs uploaded to celebrate the New Year or someone's birthday) and this could end up saving the unintended upload date. And in case of some deleted videos that are added manually, should the upload dates be saved with this offset in mind if known?
