The video was uploaded on December 19th, 2016 and features mathematician James Grime enthusiastically explaining e and what it's used for. Upon initial upload, the video was titled simply "e". This along with the humorous thumbnail, which depicts James Grime making a goofy face next to the letter e, garnered the video considerable attention. (Note: The title and thumbnail were eventually changed slightly to be more in line with Numberphile's other videos) In YTPMV, e is mostly known for its role as a meme on the [SiIvaGunner](/tag/siivagunner) channel. Its first appearance on the channel was on January 16th, 2017 in the video [Main Theme - e](https://youtu.be/6QctvvOQcTw). Since then, it has appeared in over 100 rips. | |
