Official upload vs. reupload.

#1

I noticed that a lot of your submissions are marked as reuploads although they originate from the original creator. It is irrespective of who is submitting the work to the database. Moving forward, please mark videos that originate from the original creator as an official upload. Otherwise, mark it as a reupload.

t158.1: Thank you for pointing that out. It seems I had misunderstood the rules. Going forward, I will make sure to register any submissions originating from the original creator as official uploads.

Officalという単語がよくないと思います
これだと素材の版権元が作ったみたいに見えてしまいます。

I don't think the word “Official” is appropriate.
It makes it look like the copyright holder of the material created it.

t158.3: Currently, "official upload" is the term used by the site for when it originates from the creator. In the "Add a work" / 「作品を登録する」page, the English text reads "Is this an official upload?" whereas the Japanese text reads 「作者からのアップロードですか?」("Is the upload from the creator?"). I haven't seen anyone interpret "official" as "from the copyright holder" in practice, but it is another misinterpretation I haven't considered. Considering that and how this isn't the first case of the question being understood as "Is the creator themself is uploading the work to the site?", it might be necessary reword the question for clarity.

t158.2: Thank you, and it is also my fault for not noticing it earlier.

t158.4: ehh I take upload is original user but reupload is original video has deleted after re-uploaded
