Regarding the issue of the composer type tags / 关于“曲作者”类标签的问题

曲子作者作为标签的时候,应该将其归类到“媒体”还是“素材”?
When the composer is used as a tag, should it be classified under "Media" or "Source"?

t180.1: In my opinion, tags for musical artists should be avoided and seldomly used. Create song attributes for them instead like 石川淳. Tags for musical artist should only be made if they are being sampled (therefore classified as a source, ex: Kanye West) or if the directly contributed to a work (classified as a creator; ex. NOMA). I think that tags for musicians should not be marked as media.

Before the edit, you asked if there was a way to denote that a creator contributed to the music of the work. This already exists as the "Music" role. Again, I think this should only be marked if the musician directly contributed to the work and not just because the musician's song was used.

t180.2: I see. I was kind of confused when I submitted the thread for the first time, but I soon figured out how the song attribute works.

However, I am still thinking of some special cases. For instance, if a work uses a medley themed around a particular musical artist or references memes associated with that artist (i.e., makes referential use rather than sampling), would it still be necessary to add the musical artist as a tag?

Furthermore, I have observed that certain artist tags that have been used multiple times are categorized as "Media" (e.g., ナユタン星人), while others are categorized as "Source" (e.g., Toby Fox). So perhaps we should standardize this and include it in the Editing Guidelines.

t180.3: I agree that there should be an explicit guideline on adding tags for musicians. Currently it says that musicians should not be categorized as a creator (unless they directly contributed to the work), but nothing much beyond that. Again, I advise avoiding adding such tags and only creating tags for musicians if they are being sampled (i.e., they should be sources if the tags were to exist).

I'm not sure what should be done for referential cases. I can't think of any concrete examples. My first thought for your example ("medley themed around a particular musical artist") is that the relationship between the artist and medley should be written in the wiki article and not added as a tag. If it is an original medley, then it can be expected to be used across multiple works, therefore making it convenient to note the relationship on the tag's wiki. Say there was a ナユタン星人 medley; the wiki article of the medley's tag can include the line: "This medley only uses songs ナユタン星人 has composed." or something similar. I'm not sure if such a relationship would warrant a parent-child relationship between the medley and respected artist. Maybe someone else can weigh in on that.
