Regional and YTPMV-adjacent works

#1

There are several works, which don't seem to fit the YTPMVs/音MADs for some reason and I'm not sure how to handle these. I've stumbled on it while adding some regional Russian works, which were approved by moderators, these seem to be right on the edge between Memes, Right Versions, YTPMVs and 音MADs, many of which are regionally significant works.
Initially I asked @NerdooderN regarding this, he suggested that any musically sampled sources should be fine, but we quickly came to the conclusion that it should be discussed further with more people.

I'll split these into several categories, starting with Right Versions:

Then there are works which are called Meme Music Videos (MMVs) or Turbo Remixes in Russia, which are most similar to YTPMVs, use known sources from them, but have more regional flavor, I'd say:

These (and many other) works of such genre were approved:

Some similar works are tagged by authors as RYTPMVs and are approved:

And there are similar English works, which aren't YTPMVs nor 音MADs:

Some of these work similar to Right Versions, partially replacing lyrics:

Approved ones:

And on top of that there are many regional Right Versions:

Many of them share sources and ideas with YTPMVs and 音MADs such as these:

If more clarifications or examples are needed, I'll respond as soon as I can.

I am a firm believer that this site should cover all bases when it comes to music remixes based around sampling. I have added plenty of works from people who may not even know what YTPMV or 音MAD is. Never the less, I think they are an important part of the creator space, and their works have enough in common with YTPMV or 音MAD that making a distinction like "X should count but Y shouldn't" is a completely fruitless endeavor. As long as there is a musical and sampling component it should be fine for the site. Some may disagree with me on this, but I feel strongly that having more freedom for the types of content added is more useful than trying to stick rigidly to just YTPMV and 音MAD, especially since those are terms with extremely thin boundaries anyways.

When it comes to tagging these edge case works, I think general rule of thumb is to call it whatever the creators call it. If they say its a "right version" or a "meme remix" or what have you then that's what I put on the video. If they don't specify one way or another I don't add any clarifying tags. It has been said by admins that in the future they'd like to phase out tags like this anyways in favor of more ridged tags with concrete definitions, so I don't think you need to belabor too much about how they are tagged.
